Penta Restoration & Construction Services Response

As Saskatchewan slowly reopens for business we continue to diligently monitoring and enacting the recommendations put forth by Public Health Agency of Canada and Government of Saskatchewan. We are utilizing all preventive and protective measures to ensure the health and safety of our clients and staff to limit the spread COVID-19 disease within our community. We have updated our current COVID-19 protocol (revisions are highlighted) to our day to day operation to comply with the current phase of Re-Open Saskatchewan:

OFFICE/SHOP PROCEDURES

We are asking all staff to practice social distancing in their personal lives. We have implemented the following protocol in response to the current COVID-19 outbreak: 

  • Office is now OPENED to the public 

  • Visitors are to wash/sanitize hands upon entering office space 

  • Visitors and Employee are required to practice social distancing (2 meter distance) 

    • Employees have been informed of proper social distancing practices; posting are in the office and here:      ​

  • Sanitation of common surface (e.g. desk, tables, doorknobs) and objects (e.g. telephones, keyboards), periodically throughout the day. 

  • Employees are required to engage in regular and thorough hand washing

    • Employees have been informed of proper hand washing/sanitizing techniques; posting are in every bathroom, all sinks, and here: 

      • Employees are required to wash their hands:    

        • At the start of their shift and before they start work  

        • Before and after eating, drinking, or smoking  

        • After using the toilet facilities  

        • After coughing or sneezing 

        • After handling any commonly used objects (e.g. coffee pot, copy machine)  

        • After handling any commonly used tools and equipment (including vehicles) 

        • Before and after putting on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)  

        • At the end of the shift before they leave work  

  • Employees are required to follow cough/sneeze etiquette​

    • ​Employees have been informed of proper cough/sneeze etiquette, posting are in office and here:
  • Employees have been informed of how to properly self-monitor, self-isolation and isolation for COVID-19, posting are in the office and here: ​

  • Employees showing symptoms of sickness are required to: 

    • Stay home and to contact their supervisor by phone ​
      • Non-COVID-19 symptoms: employees are to Self-Monitor and not permitted to return to work until symptoms subside ​
      • COVID-19 symptoms (even mild) are required to: 
        1. 5 days Isolation 
        2. Complete the Saskatchewan COVID-19 Self-Assessment Tool, once symptom free and after completing 5-days of isolation 
        3. Employees will contact Penta Restoration & Construction Services management by phone once all the above protocol has been met, their return to work will be reevaluated and determined at that time.  
  • Employees are strongly discouraged from engaging in non-essential travel outside of Saskatchewan and must inform supervisor if they are planning to travel out of province or have traveled out of province prior to returning to work, employees return to work will be determined by Penta Restoration & Construction Services management

  • Employees that have come into contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19​ are required to: 

    1. Inform Penta Restoration & Construction Services management

  • Employees that have tested positive for COVID-19 are required to: 

    • 5 days of isolation as mandated by the Government of Saskatchewan Public Health Order 

    • Immediately inform Penta Restoration & Construction Services management by phone 

    • Employee will contact Penta Restoration & Construction Services management once they have complied with all the above protocol, their return to work will be reevaluated and determined at that time. 

 

TECHNICIAN/WORK SITE PROCEDURES

Our technicians are highly trained and experienced in proper safety protocols and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Technicians are required to follow all of the above protocol measures and are required to follow the additional protocol measures out in the field: 

  • Each work site will have an designated point person responsible for monitoring workers for compliance of COVID-19 protective and prevention procedures and protocol 

  • Hand shaking is strictly prohibited! 

  • Technicians are required to practice social distancing (2 meter distance) at all times with homeowners and all occupants. 

  • Technicians will avoid working less than six feet from others. When work role requires closer proximity, case specific risks and solutions will be assessed and implemented by Penta Restoration & Construction Services Project Manager and PPE must be worn.  ​    

  • Technicians are provided and required to wear personal protective equipment (e.g. mask/respirators, suites) at all times on job site.

  • Technicians will clean and disinfect Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) before and after every use  

  • Technicians will clean and disinfect commonly used tools and equipment after every use 

  • Technicians will clean and disinfect company vehicles before and after every use. 

 

SUB-CONTRACTORS

Sub-contractors are required to adhere to all of the above Penta Restoration & Construction Services COVID-19 operational protocol. In addition to the above protocols sub-contractors are additionally required to: 

  • Complete a daily Penta COVID-19 Health Check Questionnaire before they are permitted access to work site.

 

Sub-contractors are required to inform Penta Restoration & Construction Services project manager/management prior to arrive at shop or worksite in the case of:

  • Have any questions and/or concerns regarding Penta Restoration & Construction Services COVID-19 protocol

  • Showing symptoms (COVID-19 and non COVID-19) of sickness 

  • Traveled out of province

  • Traveled to any Communities Subject to the Public Health Order

  • Have come into contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19

  • Have been diagnosed with COVID-19
